Children Lifting Injuries

When women become mothers, nobody tells them how hard it will be on their bodies. Many of them suffer from repetitive stress injuries (RSIs) that result from placing too much force on ligaments, muscles, joints, tendons, and spinal discs when lifting, bending, and twisting.

Below is a partial list of injuries and other activities with their related injuries treated at HandSport Surgery Institute in New York:

  • sprains of the interphalangeal joint of the fingers
  • sprains of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the fingers
  • wrist ligament injuries
  • elbow ligament injuries
